Lesson One: Get Oriented — “Home”
I am a Singaporean who left my home country to live in the USA. Singapore is one of the smallest and most densely populated countries in the world (only 277 square miles) but is a thriving hub for world finance, shipping, and transportation. Even though it is a dense urban jungle it has a great melting pot of Asian cultures which leads to an amazing diversity of food, art, and shopping.
About 10 years ago, an unique job opportunity arose for my husband and we relocated more than 3000 miles to the USA. Home is now in a rugged State with an abundance of wilderness with a great diversity of outdoor activities like hiking, biking, camping, white-water rafting and winter sports. Instead of spending our time in a mall shopping and looking for our next great culinary experience, we now explore the great outdoors and find joy in growing a garden, catching fish and grilling with friends in our backyard.
Home is where we share all the great experiences like laughing, living and loving.
“It’s not how big the house is, it’s how happy the home is.”
“Home is not a place, it’s a feeling.”
